Timberella is the heroine of the series Girl in the Woods, a hero’s journey shared through nature-based art and a series of written parables. As the story opens, Timberella is a young girl, who falls from her treetop home during a Great Storm. The forest floor is unfamiliar to her: she feels lost and alone.

As she wanders the woods, she encounters a songbird. The songbird reminds her that she has a gift: we all have gifts, and should use them. Timberella recognizes that the search for home is not about finding her way back to the treetop…it’s about understanding what her gifts are, and how to share them with the world.
