Here's a small sampling of Jodi’s nature-based artwork.

Timberella 5 | Girl On Fire

The yogic path is the context behind Jodi’s performative Timberella 5 (from the series Girl in the Woods).

The Giving Tree | Monumental Nests

The Giving Tree is one of numerous monumental nest projects and is the embodiment of eight-limbed yoga philosophy.

GIRL IN THE WOODS

There once was a girl, who lived in the woods, in a nest on the tallest of treetops…

Through parable and environmental sculpture, Girl in the Woods is an ongoing body of work that explores Jodi’s personal journey through the lens of yoga philosophy and nature-based sculpture. Central to the story is a woodland character named Timberella.

While the parables follow the mythic structure of the hero’s journey, there is no mistaking this for an outdated fairytale: there is no frog prince, fairy godmother, or glass slipper. Girl in the Woods is made contemporary as the fallen hero rises of her own volition. Timberella’s transformation is made possible through life lessons informed by art therapy, yoga and connection with nature.
